Artist/Singer-Songwriter, Monique Smaz, is a proud Minnesota-native, writing and performing as an accomplished vocalist and guitarist, quickly becoming one of Minnesota’s most sought after talents. Her music seamlessly merges the raw edge and grit of rock-and-roll with the heartfelt, soulful storytelling of country. With performances at renowned venues like US Bank Stadium, First Avenue, and prestigious music events such as The Frank Brown Songwriters’ Festival, Monique has captured the attention of audiences nationwide. Her tracks have earned airtime on radio stations including Minnesota favorites 102.9 The Wolf and 89.3 The Current, as well as SiriusXM Radio’s The Highway/On The Horizon, where she was hailed a 2023 “Highway Find”. Monique draws inspiration from her late father, drummer Jack Smaz, and musical icons such as Janis Joplin, Ashley McBryde, Johnny Cash, and Miranda Lambert.
